Miguel de Icaza and his world wide Team are announcing Moonlight 1.0 goes live

Moonlight, the open source implementation of Silverlight for Unix systems has officially reached its 1.0 level, feature complete,  passing all the Microsoft regression test suites.

Moonlight is available as a Firefox plugin today!

This is a tremendous accomplishment, I met Miguel back at ReMIX Boston where he told Brad Abrams and the rest of us the Moonlight story.

The Silverlight Toolkit is a collection of Silverlight controls, components and utilities made available outside the normal Silverlight release cycle. It adds new functionality quickly for designers and developers, and provides the community an efficient way to help shape product development by contributing ideas and bug reports. This first release includes full source code, unit tests, samples and documentation for 12 new controls covering charting, styling, styling, layout, and user input.
